Bike Trip Part II

Here's our full set up, one bike with a trailer, one with a "gator" bar connecting 2/3rds of Miles' bike to Kev's.

We also had two panier bags on Kev's bike for more gear.

Kev wondered if the other campers were amazed at how much stuff exploded out of two packs and the back of the trailer.

We had an exciting celebrity siting at the campground. We figured she was someone famous just trying to blend in and relax for the weekend.

The goofy tent in the background is from the Netherlands, BTW.

This picture shows how the Europeans "rough it" while camping. Yes, those are satellite dishes for the campers.

Overnight Bike Trip Part I

Here we are, early in to the trip, still cheerful, passing a really old farmhouse/mill.

We stop in the next town for some ice cream, completely oblivious to the terrible hill that waits evil-ly down the trail.

This is not the evil hill. No way could I stop and take a picture then. This is just a sample of how beautiful it was on the parts where we weren't passing out.

We come across a ridge, down through the forest, and pop out of the trees to see this awaiting us... Dinner!

This is the outdoor beirgarten for the kloster (monastery) in the previous picture. I think they got tired of stinky bikers eating inside.

Gotcha!

This really captures Wen Li: a big personality in a little package. BTW, she picked out those shoes to go with her outfit. Looks kinda 80's, don't cha think? Given how my house looks all the time, I'm going to nominate "Wen Li" for the Hurricane name list.
