Prom Date...2018

First time on the board, I ask Miles to pose for a picture and this is what I got! Dude! (Gnarly shirt provided by Aunt Sara).
Not just a poser, turns out he can actually skate! He made it down the ramp a few times before the rest of us got too cold to watch anymore. He's also been practicing jumping over curbs and flipping his board up. He's been asking for a board all winter, guess he knew it was his thang.

Hiking in Garmisch

We went hiking last weekend with our friends the Ingels (you can see part of Kallen in this picture). Wen Li enjoyed her ride in the backpack.

Turns out hiking is hard work...

But then you get GIANT creampuffs afterwards. Score!

Teamwork

Together, Miles and Wen Li tackled the wrestling dummy at Kev's ju-jitsu seminar this past weekend.

Ha, ha.

Let's see how 'cute' you think it is when I come home with a pink mohawk in about 15 years.

Shopping in Poland!

Here we are in front of the enormous tea set outstide one of the factory shops in Boleslawiec. We made a quick trip over there a couple of weeks ago. We stayed in Bautzen, Germany, just a short drive from the border on Friday night. Saturday morning we drove over the border, shopped like mad, and drove home that afternoon. Yes, it's cold, and no, Miles wouldn't wear a coat.

No, no! You try SHOES on for size, not pots!

Driving along in my automobile

Wen Li is mastering the art of straddling her Bobby Car in a mini-skirt - she just wears tights underneath!

Many thanks to Kim, Tom, and Zane for the cute outfit.

Out of Africa...

Came this gorgeous batik cloth. This was my gift for holding down the fort and throwing a dinosaur birthday party all by myself. Miles is modeling his Kruger Park t-shirt, and you can see some nifty zebra candles on the table, holding their own amidst the clutter.

(Referenced birthday party)

This birthday cake is actually a diorama modeling the alternative - and quite viable - theory that the dinosaurs were driven to extinction by a scourge of Red Dye #5.

Birthday Bling

This was taken post-photo session, after Miss Wen Li was stripped of her pretty smock dress.

I finally got the kids' portraits done by the school photographer, they should be in this week (for those of you who were wondering but were too polite to ask).

Goodmorning Grandma!

Grandma always logs on early in the morning, when my mom is trying to get things done during my (too short!) nap. {Clarification - early morning for Grandma, late morning for me!}

I finally got to wear my new swim suit from "Tar-jay", and you better believe I was turning some heads at the new indoor pool! The Germans say 'schuss' for sweet when they see a cute baby, and there was a lot of schuss-ing going on!
